InterLibrary Loan

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services allow you to obtain print materials, such as books and magazine articles, as well as microfilm of old newspapers, that are not owned within the Westchester Library System. To use WLS ILL Services, you must be a valid WLS library card holder in good standing with active borrowing privileges.

The average time to obtain the materials is one to four weeks; some obscure materials may take longer to get. The time it takes depends on availability of the materials requested, location and staff situation of the owning libraries, and the type of delivery.

Please note that ILLs can only be requested for the home library’s patrons i.e. only Peekskill cardholders can request ILLs at The Field Library. If a patron from a different library requests an ILL, we must refer them to the patron form online or to their home library.

ILLs can only be requested for items that are 6 months or older.
