Notary
The Field Library offers free notary services for our patrons and community.
Notaries are legal professionals who can perform certain duties like verifying signatures and witnessing written documents.
In addition to the notary services listed here, the library currently has 1 full-time staff member available as a notary.
If you’re planning on coming in to the library to get something notarized:
- **Please call the library first to ensure that a notary is available.**
- Please have your valid driver license or passport with you.
- Please bring the entire document with you, not just the pages to be notarized.
- Advance notice is needed to notarize complex or important documents, or documents requiring witness signatures, such as:
- Wills
- Trust documents
- Powers-of-Attorney
- Mortgages and loan modifications
- Real-estate closing documents
