Field of Mystery

Join the Field of Mystery Book Club for a lively discussion of our May book, The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, by Stuart Turton.  Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk.

Evelyn Hardcastle will die at the end of the day.  Aiden Bishop, a guest at the party after which she dies, has 8 days to solve her murder.  Each day he will inhabit the body of a different guest at that party.  If he can't solve the murder by the 8th day, he will have his memory erased and have to go through the whole thing again.  To make it more complicated, he's not the only one trying to solve the mystery.  If one of the others figures it out before he does, they'll be freed and he will be caught in this cycle forever.  Oh, yes, and there's yet another character who's out to stop Aiden by any means necessary.

This is a twisted, engrossing book, unlike any mystery you've ever read.  We should have a great time discussing this one.  Refreshments will be served, and a zoom link will be available.
