2023 Museum and Culture Pass Program
Westchester / Putnam / Other Local
- Boscobel House & Garden: The Field Library has one adult pass and up to 3 additional guests of any age. Pass entitles you to a grounds tour and to reserve a spot for a guided house tour and guided ground tour, plus a 10% discount in Boscobel's gift shop.
- Dia: Beacon: The Field Library has Family Passes, which are loaned for 3 days. A pass gives free general admission for 2 adults and children under the age of 18 to the Dia: Beacon. Pass also includes 20% discount on all Dia publications sold in the bookshop, 10% discount on all other Dia merchandise, and 10% discount on Homespun Dia: Beacon.
- Greenburgh Nature Center: 2 adults, in the same household, and their children up to age 18.
- Hammond Museum & Japanese Stroll Garden: Free admission for up to 4 people.
- Hudson River Museum: free Museum admission for two adults and up to six children or grandchildren and one free ticketed program (Planetarium show or Glenview Historic Home tour). Also included with your pass is a 15% discount in the museum shop!
- Hudson Valley MOCA: The Field Library has two family membership cards that entitles you to reduced general admission, discounted admission to special programs and free admission to all museums in the Fairfield Westchester Museum Alliance including the Bruce Museum, Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Hudson River Museum, Wave Hill, Neuberger Museum of Art, MOCA Westport, and the Katonah Museum of Art.
- Katonah Museum of Art: The Field Library has Family Passes to distribute, which are good for 2 adults and free for children under 12.
- Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture: Passes allow free admission for one vehicle Saturday or Sunday plus 10% discount on all retail purchases.
- Storm King Art Center: Storm King Art Center passes are valid for the admission of one car with up to six people, limited to one vehicle per day, per Museum Pass. Children under 5 years old are not counted towards the vehicle total.
- Westchester Children's Museum: Free admission for 4 people (at least 1 adult).
Manhattan
- The AKC Museum of the Dog: The library pass has one membership card that allows admission for 2 adults and 2 children plus $5 off additional admission tickets, 10% off museum gift shop (onsite day-of-visit) and 10% of individual or family memberships to the museum for library patrons.
- American Museum of Natural History: The library has vouchers that are available on a lottery basis. Please see the circulation desk to enter the lottery for free vouchers to the museum. Vouchers allow free admission to the Museum's permanent collection, as well as one special exhibition or show.
- Dia: Chelsea: The Field Library has Family Passes, which are loaned for 3 days. A pass gives free general admission for 2 adults and children under the age of 18 to the Dia: Chelsea. Pass also includes 20% discount on all Dia publications sold in the bookshop and 10% discount on all other Dia merchandise.
- The Frick Collection: The library pass has 4 membership cards that allows unlimited admission for one, plus 10% discount at the Museum Shop.
- Guggenheim Museum: The Field Library has 2 member cards for loan. Each member card includes free admission and discounts on purchases.
- Intrepid: Sea, Air & Space Museum: The library has 1 pass to loan which is good for up to 2 guests. Pass includes access to the Intrepid Museum, Space Shuttle Pavilion and the submarine Growler, access to the members only admission line, and discounted guest tickets for additional adults and children.. Pass must be returned to the library.
- New York Historical Society: The library has 1 pass to loan which is good for two adults and two children.
Connecticut
- Stepping Stones Museum for Children: one free admission with one paid admission.
Peekskill Museums
The Field Library does not have library passes for these local museums. Admission and ticket prices can be found on the museum website.
Free Museums: The Field Library has composed a list of free museums or free hours at museums in the regional area. Museum passes are not required.
- The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum: Free on the third Saturday of the month.
- American Folk Art Museum: Free admission.
- Asia Society Museum: Free admission on Fridays.
- Bronx Museum of the Arts: Free admission.
- Bronx Zoo: Limited admission is free all day on Wednesdays. Advance ticket reservations are required.
- Brooklyn Museum: General admission is suggested; pay what you wish.
- Bruce Museum: Free on Tuesdays from 10 am - 5 pm.
- David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center: Visitors may reserve a free timed ticket during gallery hours Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am - 3 pm and Thursdays from 3 pm - 7 pm.
- Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens: Free from 10 am - 4 pm on weekends.
- Greenwich Historical Society: Free admission on the first Wednesday of the month.
- The Jewish Museum: Free on Saturdays. Timed tickets are recommended. Limited walk ups are available.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art: New York State residents can pay as they wish. Purchase on location at the time of admission with valid New York State ID.
- The Morgan Library & Museum: Free on Fridays between 5 pm - 7 pm.
- Museum of the City of New York: Pay as you wish available at ticket counters. Not available online.
- Museum of the Moving Image: Free on Thursday between 2 pm - 6:00 pm.
- National Museum of the American Indian Heye Center (NYC): Free admission.
- New Museum of Modern Art: Pay what you wish for admission from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday. Timed tickets required.
- Queens Museum: Admission is free. Timed tickets are required.
- Wave Hill: Free admission on Thursdays.
- Whitney Museum of American Art: Free on Fridays from 7 pm - 10 pm.
