Field of Mystery Book Group

The Field of Mystery Book Group will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, in the program room downstairs to discuss our April selection, The Keeper of Lost Causes, by Jussi Adler Olsen.  Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk.

The first book in the Department Q series, The Keeper of Lost Causes starts with Detective Carl Morck, formerly one of Copenhagen's best murder detectives.  After a disaster that nearly killed him and did kill some of his colleagues, Morck has been given a "promotion" to his own department, Department Q, in which he is one of the only officers, and whose cases are the coldest of cold cases.  Against all odds, Morck starts getting interested in the case of a female politician who went missing years ago, who is presumed to be dead.  Morck's not so sure about that, and as it turns out, he's right: she's alive, though how much longer that's going to last is a good question.
