Field of Mystery Book Group

The Field of Mystery Book Group will meet in the Program Room to discuss July's selection, The Long Call, by Ann Cleeves.  Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk.

The Long Call is the start of another mystery series by the prolific writer, Ann Cleeves.  The main character, Matthew Venn, grew up in a tightly knit, extremely controllling Fundamentalist Evangelical community in Devon, England.  When he left the church, he left everything behind, including his family, or so he thought.  Returning for his father's funeral, Venn is drawn into the case of a murdered man who washes up with a tattoo of an albatross on his neck.  Investigating the case forces Venn to confront some of the deep rooted secrets and resentments of his past.
