Field of Mystery Book Group

Join the Field of Mystery Book Group as we discuss this month's selection, Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers, by Jesse Sutanto.  Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk.

Vera Wong is a Chinese American woman of a certain age who just wants to share her wisdom with the rest of the world, including her adult son, who doesn't want to hear her advice. So when a dead body is found in Vera's tea shop, and the corpse is holding a flash drive, Vera pockets the drive, figuring she can do a better job of finding the murderer than the police. She expects the murderer to come to her shop, looking for the drive, but she's a little surprised at how many new people show up at her shop, and how motherly she starts to feel towards them, even if one of them does turn out to be a murderer.
