Field Notes Book Group

Join us for a discussion of this month's book, South to America: a Journey below the Mason-Dixon to Understand the Soul of a Nation by Imani Perry.  Copies of the book will be available at the circulation desk.

Perry, a black woman and a native of Alabama, tours through the Southern U.S. to bring us a picture of its contradictions, its history and its present, and makes the case that it's impossible to understand the United States, now or in the past, without understanding the south on a deep and profound level.

We will meet in the Program Room, and there will be an interesting discussion and coffee and donuts.
