Field Notes Book Group

Join the Field Notes Book Group as we discuss our selection for this month, Dodie Smith's I Capture the Castle.  Copies will be available at the circulation desk.

In Dodie Smith's classic novel, an eccentric family lives in genteel poverty in a ruined castle in the English countryside during the 1930's.  Our narrator, Cassandra, the younger daughter of the family, tries to see life as a Jane Austen world, especially when two rich young American men show up on the scene, but coming of age in these circumstances is rather more complicated.
