Field Notes Book Group

Join us for a discussion of our July selection, Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest, by Suzanne Simard.  Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk.

Finding the Mother Tree is a nonfiction book that's part memoir, part fascinating science book about the interconnected stories of the natural world, the world of fungi, soil, bears, trees, and people.  Simard combines the results of her lifelong research into trees with her own journey to become a worldwide expert on the communications among plants and the life of the forest in general.

The discussion should be fun.  There will be refreshments available.
